Dawn brings extensive life experience into her work with clients. Before starting on the path to pursue counseling as a career, Dawn has been a parent and step-parent to her four children, raising two from birth and two from elementary school age, into adulthood. Dawn also spent 30 years in software and banking, primarily in a project management role. Dawn is able to relate to her clients in a meaningful way, based on her previous work outside of the counseling field. Research has demonstrated that the best predictor of success in counseling is the counselor being able to connect to the client.

Dawn enjoys playing softball and spending time with her adult children, friends, and pets (2 Australian Shepherds, a cat, and 3 chickens - who are all good friends). Dawn transitioned from her former "day job" to being a full time counselor in March 2020. Dawn is currently seeing clients (individuals, couples, and families) virtually and in person in Scotts Valley, CA.
